Anyone using a 10 Speed D/A Crankset with 11 Speed?
I'm in the middle of throwing together a 2003 Litespeed Ultimate, and want to use a Dura Ace 11 group, but the Crankset is one of the ugliest available IMO. Has anyone used anything else with this setup successfully? I like the look of the 7800 much better, but I'm guessing that's likely not compatible with 11 speed. Thanks!

It's probably alright.
But that 9000 crank grew on me quite a bit. Looks miles better than every other four arm job.

Actually, the anodising fade on 9100 is pretty impressive. Not such a fan of the asymmetric fade on the hubs, though... But at least I guess it leaves the door open for big lulz at anyone who puts their rim brake front in backwards.

On the flip side, do the newer 11 speed cranks work with a 10 speed setup? I've read mixed things about it and it looks like there are a LOT of inexpensive 11 speed compact cranks on the market since it appears that's what everyone is running these days.

You probably want to run an 11s chain with an 11s crank. You might run into trouble getting the trim position on the fd dialed in.
