After that last Wabi thread I don't know whether we are supposed to like them anymore here or not?
But whichever it is - they are having a nice sale on their wheels...

Did some searching on State Bicycle and I see they don't get a lot of love, but their "4130 Core-Line" looks decent. Double butted tubing and nice dropouts. All bikes are on sale for a $100 discount for a couple more days which would bring this one to $350.

I'm not a fan of waterproof/breathable fabrics based on several experiences in the distant past where these so called "breathable" fabrics left me sodden and frozen, once to the point of hypothermia. This jacket was worn for a 27° ride start today however, and I am seriously rethinking this, especially for very cold conditions and moderate efforts. It was able to cope surprisingly well with a base layer and thermal jersey underneath and only started to build up moisture and feel clammy as the temperature rose above 40°.
Apparently these fabrics have come a long way in the past 15 years and I'm really happy with the way this jacket performed. Fit and quality are impeccable.

One of the reasons those Fuji Track Pro's sold so cheap was because Fuji had an initial poor design with the chainstays.* Folks that were just building up the frameset were finding out that some spiders were hitting the chainstay at the 42mm chainline. They finally fixed it proper on the third version with the curved chainstay.
*the first version of Trek's T1 track frameset had a similar issue albeit with larger chainrings hitting the chainstay**

You're going to feel a bit cramped in there but you could make it work though with more more seatpost showing and a longer stem. I'd consider a larger size if I was in your shoes though.

Looks like the bikes in the pictures already have the steerer tube cut down. I doubt a new one would be. The one bottle mount kills me. That's an odd phenomenon in the single speed world. I can see having no mounts for a pure track bike, but why on earth would they not put two on bikes obviously meant to be ridden on the road? Odd.

Here's an option for bikes with no water bottle stays. It's a double water bottle cage that mounts to your seat rail.

I know what you mean about the water bottle cages. There is a really sweet Classic Bianchi steel frame I like and the Cinelli Gazetta too. Love everything about them, except no water bottle cages. I'd hate to drill into something that nice just to tap threads (or have someone else do it!) My current fixed gear is a Schwinn Let our conversion, which can only hold one bottle. A second cage is mounted to the handlebars with a small aluminum mount. Seems a shame to do that to a bike like the Bianchi, Cinelli, or the State above. 2 is pretty much a necessity in the hot Georgia summers here. The only fixed bike I've seen with two sets of mounts are the Wabis, which cost as much as that state bike for just the frame.
