It came in at 17 pounds 1 ounce (size 56) as pictured with pedals, cages, Garmin 820, mount and sensors. It's under 17 pounds with a cross tire on it.

How do you like the Vittoria tires? What is the actual width?

They are the wet one's. I just put them on as I have some gravel events/rides/races coming up. I have dry ones that I'm going to mount on a duplicate set of wheels. They are labeled 700x38 and 40x622 they came in at a true with of 42mm. On the Roval CLX 50's

Please post a review of the bike and also a review of the Terreno wet and dry tires when you get some experience with them!

I'll be spending a few days in Castell Texas and I'm going to ride the race route both directions. I'll have 124 miles done 62 at a time in Texas hill country. I'll post pictures and opinions after. I'm really looking forward to it. Temperatures in the low 70s!

They are $7500 plus the pedals with aftermarket ti spindles, bar tape/saddle/tire swap puts it at $7900 retail pricing. I am employed by a large bike shop that does a lot of Specialized sales. That's how I can afford this thing at a bike shop employees salary.
I'm sure the street price would be better.

There's nothing recreational about this ride. Holy smokes! I wish it wasn't a Specialized though. Can't stand that brand but there's no denying they have really nailed it with the Crux.

Other than that it is simply gorgeous, which leads me to believe that Robert Egger had nothing to do with it.

The new CruX got almost no press. The Diverge/Roubaix and this year the new Tarmac are all over the press and internet while there best new offering is almost being overlooked.

As for the brand, I used to feel that way, because they have, at one time or another, done all the things that are most annoying about the bike industry. However, as a consumer, they deliver dialed bikes at a good price and take really good care of my LBS, who treat me great in turn. If the Crux were out when I was shopping this Summer, I would probably have one now (not that I have buyer's remorse at all).

What segment of the market is the CruX aimed at? It doesn't seem to be the all purpose gravel bike.

Specialized has gotten more specialized. The Diverge has turned more to gravel (longer lower wider, bigger tires) while the crux had turned away from gravel and more towards dedicated racing (with larger tires).
