Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Horn, tooting my own and all that...whatever

I hardly make my own threads anymore. Struggled with posting this one because honestly it does seem to happen often: some people really don't like seeing good things happen to others and like to take pot-shots.

Then I realized this is like any other article linked to from a online cycling mag about product....it just happens to be about me.

Not trying to drum up business or advertize (some people seem to have a hard time believing that). I just want to share this and say "HEY COOL! Someone interviewed me!"

FWIW - I sent the link to my mother too and I'm not trying to sell wheels to her either.

Awesome interview and you should be able to toot your own horn. When an old band of mine was featured in a 3 page local newspaper spread, you bet I shared it with everyone I knew!

You are a consistently quality contributor to BF. I wish you would make more of your own threads. If anyone gets negative on you, just ignore it.

Congrats Rob!!!

I must have had five or six people this weekend say, "Hey, who built those wheels?" If you don't toot your own horn those of us rolling your wheels will toot it for you!

Great article! Loved what you had to say about the custom market and being able to listen to the individual rider's needs, and then designing a product around that. You sound like a great craftsman! Congrats on the article.

Yeah, article definitely got me feeling marginalized and thinking about how to artificially shorten the life of my stock R500s. People in my group ride tonight are going to be saying "Dude, you need to pay attention, you've hit every pot-hole on the route".

Considering it's a CX magazine, there is a odd lack of heckling in that interview.

Wait! PSIMET builds wheels? Since when?

Next you're going to tell us that EventServices guy wrote a book or something.

Yeah, right.
