The bikes DesertRyder is hoping to see are from the era of the Nishiki Alien. Can't remember if they were steel exclusively, but in any event, by the year 1995 or so, they were gone from the marketplace.

And FYI. They came in steel, aluminum, and carbon. Mine is an aluminum frame.
