Shimano M9000 shifters compatable with 9100 RD?

Shimano M9000 shifters compatable with 9100 RD?
Are XTR M9000 shifters compatible with the M9100 rear derailleur? I know it comes down to pull length. I've searched but my search skill cant seem to find the pull on them.

One is 11 and the other is 12 speed compatible but the SI.Shimano.com has all the compatibility and tech docs on it but I would doubt it but it is not a combo I have tried.

Early M9100 12sp shifters had a switch for 11sp. I've never personally tried the combination you are asking about though.

What I'm trying to accomplish here is a setup that can run a 1x setup with a 46 or a 51 cog and not switch to a micro spline freehub body. I think that means running 11 speed Shimano. If I could do it 12 spd I'd go there.
I run 2 sets of wheels on my 29r, my Mavics I use for more XC type stuff, and I could pick up a new freehub and make the change to a micro spline there easily, but I've also got an old set of American Classic wheels that I use on rides where I'm less weight concerned and not to worried about the speed of engagement. I tend to use them when I'm going banging through the rocks in New England so they are set up with liners and heavier tires. The problem is that there is no option to upgrade them to microspline. American Classic closed up shop before the micro spline came on the scene.
I'd frankly rather go the 12 speed route, the 11 spd mech didn't last long and 12 speed has more support across the board but I'm not sure I can accomplish what I'm trying to do and still run my old wheels.
Ideas?
