Merida Matts 60 with Magura

Merida Matts 60 with Magura
Hi all, just acquired a Merida Matts 60 with Magura hydraulic brakes. This is the setup:
Frame: ‘shotgun 6061 alu' T6 butted, size c/t 18''
Built: august 2008 (code GH)
Group: Shimano Deore XT M772 back, FD-M580 front, 3x9 rapidfire
Breaks: Magura HS11 Evo2 hydraulic
Fork: Suntour XCM V2 lock
Steering: Xmission speed series AL6061
Crank: Shimano FC-M442/443
Hubs: Shimano HB-RM65
Rims: Jalco AX 430
Saddle: Pro Vulture
I cleaned and greased the bike where needed, tuned the brakes, serviced the fork which was quite corroded in places, fixed the gearing. The pictures were taken during that process. The result is very satisfying: a beautiful bike that runs great. Anyone here with a similar bike? I don't see that many Merida's with Magura.

Magura "Rim Crushers" probably some of the best rim brakes out there but less common these days still found but I so rarely saw them on mountain bikes. I remember them more on trials bikes. We have a bike at the shop with the road version which is pretty neat.

Thanks for the reply! These breaks have an intense stopping power, I experienced. And indeed MTB's with Magura are sparse, even here in Europe...
