Schwinn Superior (1981-83) production per year - an observation

Looks like it to me. Someone else identified the SN as being that of a Superior. Based on the lugs and the serial location/typeface compared to my Paramount, I have no reason to doubt them.

Pump peg, braze-on derailleur tab, 2nd set of bottle mounts, and BB cable routing are all later additions. Nice looking ride!

With so many modifications being done, and also being in the process of building up a 74 Paramount, I'm probably going to turn this into fun bike with some nice, but not completely period correct, parts.

This one definitely doesn't seem to be a PDG/Waterford job; it has the look of a framebuilder showing off all the latest. The Waterford refits I've seen have been more conventional/conservative.
There's one thing - it seems as if everyone converted their Superiors to under-the-BB routing. My wine red '82 (a Waterford/PDG refit) has been reconfigured as such:
The cast stops at the time all look like the Silva 152, but I'm not sure this particular one is the Silva part:

110% a Superior. Interesting that someone sliced the bottom of the 1010 dropout to allow for easier installation. The rear triangle on these are fairly tight; I have trouble with 23C's and fenders without letting air out to clear the (domed, not cylindrical) mounting bolt.
