Not this time. This is just a short trip, so I’m doing more hiking.

It’s beautiful up here now. Beautiful weather and there’s no almost no one up here.

The Chinese pistach trees are finally turning colors. They're usually the first trees to change.

Saratoga, CA

Summertime weather conditions today -- strange but welcome.

This is one of my all time favorites threads on bikeforums. I started liking posts, but really, all the pics are fantastic!

Whenever I'm stressed at work, I'll go to this thread, start scrolling and within a minute, I can feel my blood pressure drop.

I love all the shots (pictures of) outside.

70+*f on west slope Colorado.

No pics of ride (what was th‘ Wood thinking?), but afterward = what’s better than beers? And a grill? Maybe a quickie spin again?
Still hydrating like crazy, light on the alcohol, really.

San Benito River watershed. Cottonwoods are a bit more colorful this year, which I guess is due to the abundance of rain we had.

Yes, and you can expand the pic to see the Throgs Neck Bridge just above my bike. Throgs Neck, Bronx is to the right and straight across the water is Bayside, Queens. The origin of the Throgs Neck name is news to me, I just looked it up, very cool!

Yeah, there's a bunch of NY spots named after dead relatives. Old John Throckmorton didn't get to keep Throgs Neck for very long, as he got run off by Indians. Another ancestor, Nicholas Stillwell, had a tobacco farm where the UN headquarters is now. He got run off by Indians, too, moving to Gravesend (there's a street there named after him) and eventually Staten Island. His son, Richard, negotiated the purchase of Staten Island from the Indians. Another son, Thomas, owned a house on Staten Island that still stands there today. There's a monument out front:

Incredible subject matter out there in the Eastern Sierra.
