Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Blue Lakes Road, if visual memory serves. Arguably the sweetest road for bikes in the area. Upper Blue Lakes is pretty at sunrise:

Good memory, that was from a recent gravel I did up there. That and some of the passes are a short drive for me, so I end up riding there a lot.

A few favorites from the past year…

Recent ride up Mt. Hamilton over Thanksgiving while visiting family in San Jose, CA..

The morning commute at 8,500’ before dropping into Jamestown en route to Longmont, CO.

Last falls commute home view of the Indian Peaks, nearly home, driveway to the left…

We haven’t gotten much rain but enough over the last few weeks that we’re starting to see some green. Chilly this morning but a great day to be out on a bike.
