Who knows, he may be happy for you to have it and use it since he no longer rides.

Snorter is actually not that shorter than me. His bike choices are just small.

v.2.0 was the bike I lusted after back in the mid-90s when I got back into cycling as a grownup, so it was gratifying to build it up and confirm that it was a totally kickass bike. However, 39x25 is a bit more than I can comfortably ride on the 6% and higher gradients hereabouts. Hence v.3.0, which is STILL a totally kickass bike.
...you should've hung onto that triple crank.

When I got married to my ex this guy preformed the service. I'll never forget that. He had to hurry off after the ceremony to do a training ride since he was racing masters then. So I think he is about 82 or 83 now.
I missed the last reunion when some of the guys got together for a birthday lunch for another friend who was turning 78. That would have been a good time to ask about the De Rosa.

He might be happy for me to have it but I don't know. I haven't seen him since he stopped riding. Tuesday/Thursday rides started from his house for years but I was at work for most of them. I did some of those rides after I retired and there was always lunch after at his favorite restaurant. Memories.

We just booked a nice apartment for LA in May, mainly for Heidi's graduation. I do hope to rent a road bike and do some cycling. One barrier is we are renting pretty well into the city (Mid Wilshire) so I may have to navigate busy city streets to get to the good cycling areas. Luckly I have plenty of time to figure that out.

Grandmombug died. Not sure exactly when, because I learned about it through the enclave vacation community the family is connected to sending a notice instead of directly. Because apparently my uncle informed them before us. Most of what I feel is anger over that, even though that probably makes em a bad person.
Still haven't learned directly, mind.

I've been nursing my old laptop along and instead of updating the Windows 7 to 10 I've just been waiting and it just keeps working.
I have the same service for internet and cable tv so I can watch tv on the laptop, until yesterday. Got an error message and spent 20+ minutes on the phone with tech support to no avail.
Today I switched to Firefox and it worked. Back to Microsoft Edge and it doesn't work. WTF? I've been using Edge because it was the last one to support Win 7.
