Pretty bike, did you do the paint? Looks nice. Any plans on decals or badging?

At least the head tube. Beautiful paint job, nice choice of components, and quality frame craftsmanship (and I like red-and-white ). I visited his website, since this marque is completely new to me.

Do you know the details of the frame (year, steel?) I found an O'Brien at a garage sale (flipped it too fast, I will forever wonder if I could have made it fit) and am always interested to hear about another.

He is, as am I. I rode one of my bikes over to his home and we went for an inaugural test ride. He really liked it. I can confirm it looks just as lovely in real life as it does in pictures!

I contacted Obrien and he does have decals for me, but they won't be the original version. The tubing is Columbus SL. He wasn't specific to the age other than late 80s early 90s. I think its pre '90, investigating at about that time he was doing brakes through tube design. I like the under top tube routing, takes a little getting used to when slinging it around for storage.

The wheels above are the backup set, the #1 set are Cyclone on Campy sew up rims. I haven't made the time to mount the tires.

Very very fast, yes, yes, and yes!

I think I may have gotten the last or second to last NOS Suntour chain of this type. I polished it with Gord's chrome polish for an extra little bling.

Nice! One of my close neighbors is also an Obrien customer. I’ve met the man himself briefly. If I did not have too many bikes already i’d Love to give him a shot.
