So touching on the butt is the new waving. Nice. I'll remember not to do that either.

Has coddling tendencies.
So long as neither of you were sporting wood, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yah. Outside of people I know, the only time another rider has done this to me is a few minutes after yelling at me. Came back to give a pat on the back and explain nicely.

I dont know about you guys but im not convinced. I think i need more pictures of hot brazilian chicks playing grab @ss to believe its a common sports gesture.
If you werent decked out in road gear maybe he was going for your wallet ?
P.s. Its only gay if the bars touch.

I would not like it.. Likely a sport jock thing. I hope. But, with my bike pack, I've seen our fittest members almost patted on their butt by strange women, passing slowly by while moving in slow traffic..Luckily , she missed the mark.... Along With the phrase, 'nice butt' by some cute looking female passengers ; my bike buddy did not seem too upset.
I have had club members push me up a steep incline by pushing on my lower back, just north of the butt. But, that is not the same thing..

He kept riding on, right? A 'how do you do', tap on the heinie and nothing else?
Dont sweat it as a one time occurrence. Call it a gesture between comrades out on the road, and get over it.
Now, lets go to the next step. If he shows up again - and again - well, you might want to look a little deeper into it.
For now, consider yourself accepted among the elite.
