Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think it should also be stamped on the components as well.

My initial search turned up nothing.
But, I found out where their parts are made.
Their groupsets are manufactured in China, Malaysia, and Singapore.
The reason I asked was because my DA7800 parts were coming in from China.
I compared my parts to authentic DA parts online.
I'm satisfied that they are authentic.

They are trying to hide it so that people won't be ashamed of having non-American parts. You should legally have to tell everyone at all times that it is a non-American product, so in case they missed the day-glo "Not made in AMERICA" lettering they would know that you are an enemy.

Just in case you're not being sarcastic,

Google "comparitive advantage;

Read The Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith,

and read Capitlism and Freedom by Milton Freidman, and report back.

Manufactured in Japan and sent to China so nobody suspects foul play.

Yeahhh, I just get so flummoxed by the whole "Turn a 'Made in Taiwan' sticker into a Scarlet Letter" mentality. Probably the wrong thread for it, but I was really tired yesterday afternoon. Sry.

Are they really stamped with Made in China? In general DA and Ultegra and from Japan, the lower lines from Malaysia.

All my DA/Ult stuff has Japan stamped on it too, but it all came "from" China/Taiwan.

Wikipedia says that their manufacturing plants are in China.
I don't know what the laws are in Japan as to how a Japanese manufacturer stamps their product
whether it be where the company is based or whether it is where the product is manufactured.

Anybody work in a LBS that's installed DA bits?
Did you notice by any chance what the packaging said?
