Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Well, this IS the fixed gear forum, so....almost everyone's going to say yes. However, this is just such a broad question that no one is really going to answer.

Yes it says it's a fixie gear forum. But I see bmx bikes in this forum. And I thought that fixies where bikes using road bike frames with fixed gears and no brakes?

This is wrong and /thread means they need to close this thread due to it falling below a certain intelligence level requirement.

Once again please revert to this thread. https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...rt-Here!/page3

Because if you dont ride a fixed gear, single speed or are not inquiring information about such then you shouldnt be in this forum. That thread is a thread for people new to fixed gears or single speeds also known as you. Its a dumb question. And no, I'm not trying to be a smart ass.

/thread
