Newbie Athena - need a good training plan

Hi Friends
I am a newbie to this forum. 65 year old Athena in California. Seeking ideas for a realistic training plan. I do cross fit 3X per week. I want to ride 2-4X per week. Ideas on mileage or ways to motivate me to keep moving?

welcome to the forums...
there are two sections of the forum that you will likely get some input to your questions...
check out the clydes and athenna section and the over 50 section...
lots of folks will be there who have and who are dealing with your concerns.
I lost the weight, but the years stayed with me and just keep stacking up.

Hi Junie! Welcome to the Bike Forums! I hope you find just the kind of plan you are looking for.
Check out the 50 Plus forum. That's where I go sometimes!

Welcome, JunieMoon! In addition to the above suggestions to check out other forums, I found riding with groups highly motivating, both in terms of riding regularly and riding farther. When I lived in the Bay Area of CA, I was able to do group rides pretty much year round (it's more of a challenge here in the Great Northwest). If you're in the Bay Area and haven't joined any clubs/groups, I can provide suggestions if you'd like.

Happy riding!
