unless its a unique bike hand built by a MTB pioneer, then yeah.. lets keep things in the hundreds and not thousands.
Classic Cycle has a few hard-to-find ABM MTBs here for about $1200, and they're purty. They also have some *extremely* rare Charlie Cunningham hand-made MTBs on display, which are not for sale.

edit: removed a craigslist posting because it's not available anymore (cuz i'm buying it )

Merckx steel fork

Decent looking chrome fork local to me. Advertised as track fork but would that have drilling for a brake?

https://charlottesville.craigslist.o...070915908.html

$80

This looks pretty cool

If this were Celeste, I'd buy it myself to match my current roadie.

Seems to me the derailleur hanger was hacked off, which would explain the added claw. Also, note there is no mention of that other than that the frame is sold as-is.

I don't own it and it's over priced but points for presentation:

https://buffalo.craigslist.org/bik/d...078560585.html

"Rare 1960 Bianchi Sport Condorino - $600 (Amherst)

Very rare 1960 Bianchi Sport “Condorino” (baby Condor). 54cm c-c. Perfect show quality restoration to original paint specifications and original varnish-fix decals. All components are original, including Campagnolo hubs, quick releases and first generation Campagnolo Record rear derailleur and shifter. 3 speed Regina freewheel. Newer tires. Beautiful Bianchi integrated headset and Bianchi handlebars with integrated stem and brake levers. Bianchi embossed frame pump. Chrome is perfect! Rides beautiful, but unfortunately too small for me."

Vintage Follis french road bike 27 wheels 21 frame needs TLC+ - $70 (bellevue)

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/b...063629622.html
vintage Follis French road bike. steel frame, nice ride
cosmetic project.
this bike would work with new brake pads, and new tires.
but to be a nice bike it could use a new seat and and some cosmetic work.
the paint is not in great shape
27 inch wheels aluminum
10 speed
all original bike.
its a mini project for someone who wants to either put pads, a seat and tires on it
or someone who wants to paint it

Boulder has a set of NOS Cinelli Top 64's for $58 with a full set of rare aero plugs. These are the bars that the cable housing runs inside the bar. You drill your own entry hole. Someone get them before I change my mind.

Those are cool. And they have many cheaper Cinelli bars if you're looking.
