Anyone recognize these 5mm cable adjusters?
I've had them for ages, and recently found out they were 1mm too large to fit in the rear brake stop on a Raleigh frameset.
I'm still filled with curiosity. They're obviously for bike cable use, but I've never seen them other than this pile. Each side of the main barrel has flats, so I assume it's supposed to fit into the body of a brake. Not that I've ever seen any brake with such a tiny adjuster. Derailers, yes. Adjusters no.
Do these ring a bell for those who've been in this a hell of a lot longer than myself?

Well if looking for a mfg brand, someone with a bike with that exact adjuster in the hanger will have to show up. Nice to know, but if you don’t have the hanger, probably won’t mean much.

Yours look longer and perhaps have flats on them but I think they'll fit fine.

As luck would have it, I needed one of those today. An old Shimano 600 single pivot caliper. I replaced it with a centerpull, which was more appropriate for the situation. That centerpull made me really with I had a fourth hand tool.
And, while fiddling with the spring on the rear single pivot brake (I know it's supposed to be a last resort; it was my first resort as the nuts to adjust it properly were frozen together), The spring end drew blood two times, on my already crippled left index finger. After the second time, I put a work glove on.
