@MoAlpha- I lusted for a 1928 RRG 'Professor' so used all of my skills (cognitive, imagination, manual) to build this 1/4 scale version to be flown as an RC model of 4.5 meters span. I drew the plans using pencil and paper and made all of the parts! I am rewarded with a great thermal vintage scale sailplane!
i admire your moxy and that is probably one of the most beautiful gliders I’ve seen. I hope she flies as good as she looks!

That Bianchi is so nice! I'm keeping an eye for an Oltre XR4 frameset as well. Although it seems more and more likely that I will go for a Giant TCR ($1500 for the Advanced Pro frameset, vs $3000 or so for the Orbea or the Bianchi or pretty much anything else)....
Supposedly a new Aeroroad is coming. Hope they get rid of the 2 exposed wires - it likely has no real effect on performance, but there is something about an aero bike with no exposes cables....

Then when the aero hoods with cables running under the bar Tape came out, the discussion was not just on smoothness since the housing was under pressure from the bar tape, but also once again how to make these look aesthetically perfect with just the right amount of crossover in front of the head tube and Placement under the bar tape so it wouldn’t be seen easily. Photos of pro riders’ set ups were everywhere. Discussion around amount of housing exposed so as not to affect performance when turning your handlebars, but also to look great for photos was rampant.
I do understand and enjoy the new bikes with no single cable exposed, especially with disc brakes since housing is used the entire length of travel. But, I still love the detail work that goes into building a bike with perfect cable routing, and the swoops of perfectly placed in perfectly sized housing for brakes and derailleurs.
Can’t wait to see which ever new bike you get!

That is a beautiful looking bike, I didn’t realize that Orbea had a custom paint program very cool.
I lusted for a Speedvagen for almost 5 years before being given the ok to get, plus had to sell my last motorcycle as a sign of good faith lol! There were so many beautiful SV’s in the world mine became a reality in February 2018

But like you say, it was getting so wacky out there that I rarely miss it, maybe one day I’ll find a new project but the Speedvagen has been well worth the sacrifice. My wife and kid make fun of me all the time, I absolutely love the ride and looks of this bike it never gets old, truly an object of lust (My wife is so much more than just lustworthy of course)!

Chases Dogs for Sport
My lusts are simple. Almost rational. (I'm a fast time trialist, not so fast road racer, but no longer own a TT bike.)
Santa Claus, I want a BMC TimeMachine 01 Disc with Di2 and the old two-button shifters! With only a couple races a year in this area, it doesn't really make sense for me to own . . . but it fits me for a really fast position and we can go insanely, euphorically fast. (Is there any better feeling in all the world?)
