Got a new torpedo level, a Empire digital, 6 modes and does a lot of tricks, it even beeps if you tell it to. I like torpedo levels but I love this one because if you want to set something at a angle, it tells you when you get there.

I got a bunch of small stuff while I was in Portland, five sets of cork tape (all white), DA-7400 bottom bracket, IRD BQ-95 bottom bracket, Sampson Stratics pedals w/cleats, Campy steel toe clips, some ferrules for spiral Campy rear derailleur housing and a Sachs Maillard 13-30 7sp freewheel. I had already picked up the Campy cone wrenches from a CR contact in Chicago.

Received a new Nitto 225 stem yesterday. Before I had the 90mm version on the SilverAce but when I testrode it it felt a little cramped so I ordered the 120mm.
Makes a ton of difference and feels so much nicer.

Not exactly exciting stuff, but “needed” none the less.

Lock ring tool and chain whips for a UG to HG hub body conversion. And a 5mm spacer to help fit a low stack DA headset to steerer tube that’d otherwise be too tall.

I told myself in mid March that I wouldn’t spend any money on bikes/parts during this Covid pandemic. I was going to hold off on building the Benotto. But 7 weeks and a couple hundred bucks later, I’m now only forty dollars shy of completing my shopping list, and ten greasy digits away from a new bike. This is the measure of my resolve and self discipline I suppose...

I’m really taking a gamble on this 9 speed chain, with fingers crossed that it’ll perform well in a 7 speed configuration.

Hollow rivets, and open plates. Its full 116 link length is spec’d at 257 grams.

Dagnab this weight shaving lunacy!

I had a good day yesterday and did not know it until this morning.

Best 4.00 that I ever spent!

I thought these were MIA but they were sent to the wrong address and arrived weeks late....going onto my OLMO.

A new seatpost and some tools I already own but wanted to have in two places (the spoke nipple tool and tyre levers are brilliant), the toolbox at home and on the road.
The KMC chain tool looked very good and is designed for 1 to 12 speed chain. Sturdy steel head.
The Koolstop thinlines are for the couple of cantilever bikes with narrow forks.

EDIT:
And I also picked up an Ikea Sladda trailer this weekend.

A box full off cotton:

Also “say hello to my little friend.” 20 bucks cheaper than it’s Campy counterpart. And while it doesn’t match the dropouts, it does match the brake bridge. Most importantly, it fits the seat post!

Thank you. I don’t have the patience or craftiness to get the perfect fender lines like other members. I get them on to the good enough level.

A nice set of Paul quick release skewers, those orange O-rings will swapped out with black as soon as humanly possible.
