RECOMMENDATION: Carbon Insoles for Shoes?
Hi fellows,
I need to buy a new set of insoles for my road bike shoes. I thought I would try a set of Carbon this time.
What are you recommending?
Thank you

I don't think the soles are replaceable on cyclng shoes.

I like comfortable cushioning insoles , but they take up space and may make the shoe to tight.
once you have a favorite insole perhaps bring them when you go to the shop to try on shoes?
Activated carbon to absorb Stink-foot?
Hard, stiff sole, road racing type shoes have been molded with structural carbon fiber in them, of course..

Not "soles" but what the OP wrote "insoles" and they are replaceable just like your running shoes.
Have a look at these.

More than a pinch... but less than a bread box. Certainly less carbon than my seatpost.
For what it's worth... Size "F" untrimmed... weigh 95.1gams / pair (Though they might have been a little sweaty when I weighed them.)
8-)
The sports shoe stores around here actually stock them. You could go give em a squeeze
Barry
EDIT: As seen on the Website, the carbon only goes half way. Being "Carbon" they provide the Arch support I need but are thin enough not to crowd my cycling shoe or ruin the fit at the heel.

Arch Support
Plenty strong for arch support, but I will not stiffen the sole of an entire shoe, if that is what you require.
Arch support, minimal bulk, $55, works for me.

I wore shoes I could walk in, road race shoes are something you take off when off the bike..

Mine have 1500 cycling miles on them and look like new. All I require of them was arch support.
Had I have known you guys were looking for full length, woven carbon, pedal stiffening, insoles, I would have never mentioned them.

Gents.... these are arch support for running. If you are running, 500 miles takes longer than 500 on a bike.

Hello fellows,
I contacted Solestar about how long their insoles last and this was the response:
I presume, it would be a similar timeline for Superfeet Carbons.
I contacted Solestar about how long their insoles last and this was the response:
Our regular end customers use BLK and Kontrol round about 40.000km or about 3-4 years, depends how many km do you ride per year. World Tour pro riders use our insoles for 2 years without any problem.
