Cool. Bringing back memories. I see you've recently entered Panama. That was my favorite country. Hope you enjoy it.

Guess you got around the Blockades the natives put up
across the Pan American Highway
when the Panamanian government leased out the tribal
lands for a Mine to be dug into their mountain, by some forigners.

Gerardo, I will fully read the end of your trip soon. I am still planning to bike around C.R for a few weeks so it will be good to see some recent photos and accounts. Good to have the names of the two Alajuela bike stores in case the "worst case scenario" happens to bike while being loaded or unloaded.

chus

Gerardo, thanks again for the bike store references and the journal, was good to have some heads up on some of the roads.

nope, I leave in a few days, I will be there wednesday. Unfortunately it will be raining a lot, but circumstances meant I could only go now. Will be travelling visiting people I knew there from the past. Will be southwest of San Jose, and then across east towards Turrialba, and a bit past Turrialba where I know other people.

ciao
