Giordana Antares - Decals are on! (pic heavy)
So I got the decals from Velocals in. He had the right artwork for this bike despite not showing it on the site. I had everything done in a Magenta that's matches really nicely to the eye. The quality of the decals are excellent in my opinion. Since I wasn't taking this back to original I did the decals how I wanted.
So the bike is close to being where I want it now. I need to get my hands on a decent RD-7400 since I've got some issues with this one. Cracked jockey wheel, bad seals, and still a bit gummed up. And I'm thinking a sweet alloy seatpost. I actually find the Selle Italia Diva Lady saddle comfortable but I tad too wide. Trying to figure out which male saddle of there's is comparable but a bit narrower.
Anyway, new pics!

Oh, and I ordered a max flite gel flow in white. 14mm narrower, so we'll see how that works out.

It may be hanging on the wall right now but I ride them all. I just need to fix the RD on this and get it back out on the road. The rides I have done on this have been so good.

pretty bike. love the d.a.
pull the stem out and move that rear brake cable over to the nds. and you'll want to readjust the brake cable anchors so the quick releases are down all the way.

The brakes are fine, I had them opened up as I put those 25c tires through and forgot to put them back down before I shot the pics. I'm a much better wildlife photographer than I am a bike photographer, LOL!
Thanks for pointing out the cable, it just never registered!.

That is one CLEAN machine!
Nicely done. I don't believe in wall hangers but I see why someone would with this.

It already was a sweet bike but now it's at a whole new level. I never realized just how much the decals affect the look.

Just an update on this.
I couldn't seem to keep the stock rims true on this. So I got a local guy to lace a set of SL23 rims to the Dura Ace hubs. Just got them back and fixing to mount the tires on for a ride tomorrow. Was curious so I weighed them with the rim tape, rear cassette mounted and no QRs.
The front is 765 grams and the rear is 1190 grams with the cassette on. Weight weenies has that cassette weighing as 380 grams so the rear should be around 810 grams putting the whole wheelset around 1575 grams. Not to bad and I'm betting they'll ride really nice. I'll update after I get them out on the road tomorrow. Not really the classic look I wanted but this bike is so nice to ride and so fast that I went with these over a more classic silver rim setup.

Ok, I've got the tires on, wheels mounted, and brakes adjusted. I honestly wasn't sure how a modern black wheelset would look on this but I think with all the other black touches on the bike it works.
The Rubino Pro Controls 700 x 25 tires measured out at 27.72 at 90 psi. These are a new tire for me I decided to try.
And then the other change I've done to this bike since posting the pics is the addition of what I think is the perfect saddle for this bike. I don't normally choose a saddle for looks but in this case I did. Well see how my butt likes it here in a short while.
