Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've never experienced that with wildlife, although I've never tried to photograph a Raven or Crow that time of the evening.

There is a phenomenon called Blue Hour, a brief period during sunset which occasionally might produce that effect in wildlife with iridescent feathers like a crow or raven, but I'd be surprised to see an effect as strong as that.

I've personally experienced the phenomenon in a landscape setting, which was a pleasant surprise.

If you go to the tweet it's part of a thread which gives more details.

Oh, and in between the cheese graters, there was the trash can. I've never seen one of these in real life.

Yeah I'm doing an iMac. I was not aware they're producing a current version of that monster, I think the old one looks better.

Laziness wins out for me, I’d rather have my coffee done brewing when I wake up. Plus, we use cashew milk in our coffee.

I bought one of those for one of my people a few years ago. She hasn't come to me for an upgrade, so I assume it's good.

Speaking of computers and Macs specifically, Arm is giving AG (and their other employees) the new Macbook Air for their 30th anniversary.

Reminds me of the time we had new water heaters installed a few days before Christmas. Christmas dinner was planned for our house.

On the 22nd, the plumbers did something or failed to do something in the attic (where our water heaters are located) that caused our dining room to flood. Took out the whole ceiling. Fortunately it did not damage our table, chairs, walls, trim, or the wood floor. The plumbing company brought in a crew to dry everything out, had the ceiling replaced, and had the insulation blown in by 3:00 on Christmas Eve.

I was pretty impressed that they pulled it off.
