Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good idea. Probably will have to wait till I wire the garage for power... right now everything* runs on a single extension cord .

* laptop to run Zwift, fan and the trainer, though trainer can be run without power, and I guess laptop battery could last the 10 minutes to get me warmed up to the point of needing the fan.

I too have the fan on a bar stool, but I find the air flow to be too focused/narrow if I have the stool too close.

It was pretty good and didn't hurt too much on the climbs later.
He also told me the impatient guy was pissed that I was invited on the ride this past Saturday. Apparently, I'm not "strong enough" to be invited on those rides, even though I didn't get dropped and wasn't the slowest on every section.

The first hard climb is 0.9 miles at 8%. You could do it!

The toughest climb in pitch has a section that is 0.4 miles at 11%. It’s a bear but at least it’s short.

Fortunately it did not damage our table, chairs, walls, trim, or the wood floor. The plumbing company brought in a crew to dry everything out, had the ceiling replaced, and had the insulation blown in by 3:00 on Christmas Eve.

I was pretty impressed that they pulled it off.
Meanwhile, we're starting our second month without a furnace.
