Albert Eisentrout 26" mountain bike mid 90s .
Albert Eisntrout mountain bike from the mid 90s I think. Found in a dumpster bout 6 years ago. Any info or the value is needed

OP, if you go to the Gallery link at the top of your screen you'll find you can post photos of your bike in your gallery (you can't post photos on threads until you have 10 posts -- to minimize spammers). Once you've done that post here saying you have and one of us can share those photos on the thread. Photos are essential for any sort of reasonable valuation guesstimate. Especially for such an intriguing thing as a dumpster-find Eisentraut MTB! That's likely of interest, as he was a great builder, but much will depend, as always, on condition, parts, etc. -- the state of which can be discerned through photos!

Not a great photo. It would be nice to see more, taken in daylight or inside under good light. Interesting bike, just because of who made it, but tig welded ... too bad it wasn't fillet brazed like the one linked above. Looks like top line parts, too, but more "modern" -- the shock fork is not a plus, IMHO. Assuming front wheel exists and overall no major issues cosmetic or mechanical, if selling I'd post this for $1000 +, but be willing to bargain if it sat. Vintage MTBs seem to be drawing interest these days, Eisentraut was a legendary builder, but his real realm was road bikes -- not known for MTBs, so this would likely appeal to Eisentraut fans more than vintage MTBers, but who knows...

Color me skeptical. This does not look like Eisentraut quality. Even the so called “production” Limiteds were much nicer. No head badge plus the style & components are from long after Albert retired. Wouldn’t be the first time someone upscaled a bike.

I would be skeptical if it is an Eisentraut and even if it is as is as presented $1000+ is just nut's. Really nice hard frame Rock Shock front MTB's with standard DX/LX components likely needing work seem to top out at $300-400 a bit special stuff and are $200 or less for lesser stuff. I could be wrong but while nice should fix up a make a good rider I'm just not seeing enough special on these one to merit a big premium. Considering it's origin it would be just another MTB to me.

A lot of pricing depends on location market where I'm at in Fairplay CO this would be a $150-200 thrift store facebook bike and might take a while to move. While in a better market I could see this one with a basic refurb selling in a shop for $1000 or so. As for nicer 90's MTB's getting tossed curbed or dontated to thrift stores I see it a lot were I'm at. 90's MTB's just seem to be a real hard sell most places right now about the only way to get value out of them is to ride them. Great for buyers riders looking for just something nice to ride fairly cheap and not so great for sellers.

Agree with above, the 1980s and 1990s MTBs tend to get little love. They are very outdated to a very serious MTB rider, that leaves recreational riders (cheapskates) and people hunting parts (bargain hunters like me). In my area, I am the ONLY buyer of such bikes and I pass on a lot of them. Other than selling them to myself, there is no local market.
Hopefully your market is better.
