first time for the shaved legs
I just shaved my legs for the first time and my mom wasnt to happy about it. I told her that it was no big deal and it was my choice. Some of it might have to do with it was her razor. Who knows though

I'm guessin things will calm down once you clean the blood trails out of her new plush pile carpet. Who'd have thought bone white carpet would show up stains like that?

I actually slowed down after I shaved my legs. To focused on the shimmiring beauty of sculpted calves and forgetting to pedal. ;-)

That's only half of it. You must shave your armpits too. The extra weight is unbearable.

Is there a difference between leg razors and face razors?

No.
But your leg hair is much tougher, so the blade dulls quickly ( or at least more quickly-er).
Meanwhile, your face's skin is more sensitive, so you don't want to use your leg razor on your face.

I'm going for it once the weather gets better around here. I'm tired of picking hair out of scrapes and of pre- and post-ride leg massages being painful. Plus all that hair kills the mad calf definition. (OK so do all those Christmas cookies, but this is YAST (Yet Another Shaving Thread))

I sort of shave my legs.
By that I mean I use the "sideburn trimmer" feature of my Norelco shaver and trim my leg hair down to short stubble. It's very quick and easy. It has the same look as fully shaved legs, but without the razor cuts. I'll probably pull out the razor and finish the job when the real racing starts.
I did shave my legs with a razor, without trimming first, once. It took a lot longer and was much messier.

I use Veet Rasera.
I used to use a Schick Quattro. It was just so heavy
I figure I saved at least 15 grams.

Oh yeah, word of caution: do you plug the drain in your tub with your bodyhair. You will have an awkward time explaining to your old man and that the reason the drain is clogged is because you, his masculine son who digs women, shaves his legs. Not that it happened to me or anything like that...

First good crash yesterday, so I'm watching how the hair affects the rash. I'll start another thread and keep everyone posted with pics.

Truthfully, you should have discussed shaving with your parents before hand. Personally I used cycling for an initial excuse for shaving, but there was another reason!
