Tire pressure in tubeless tires 4.5 in

I was wondering how much pressure to use on soft sand
How much to use in trails with roots and hard ground and going over dirt mounds

Your weight?

As low as you can ride without a curb hitting through to the rim. Lower is better.

I ride the front at 2psi and rear at 5 on all surfaces. In snow I go lower. You need good fronttire that doesn't self-steer. I weigh 175#

Good advice from Herrk, you really have to do some trial and error. One thing nice about this is that it won't cost you a penny. Everyone has a different satisfaction on results. But low single digits sounds about right.
BTW, which tires and rims are you using?

I think with sand you just want to go as low as you can.

Trail riding... you will need to experiment. I find if I ride trails with the really low pressures I ride for snow (3-4 psi) I’m bouncing all over the place like a beach ball or pogo stick, I am currently running around around 6-8 to 7-9 (f-r).

I am 175 lbs on 4.0s so your pressures may vary.
