I've got a Pista in 57cm with drop bars that I'm now selling. I LOVE IT, but am 192cm, so bought it well knowing that it was too small...
Now buying a Bianchi Via Nirone or Impulso as a proper training bike (different story) in the correct 61cm frame, but the bike I'll use the most will still be the single speed, so maybe a bit boring with two Bianchis :-)

Am thinking of a Fuji Feather or Classic track in 58, mostly as thin tube frames look HORRENDOUS in a 61cm height :-), and I'm fitting some Nitto riser bars or bullhorns a this will be more of a relaxed ride.., and some nice one finger Goldfinger brakes.. Think I can get away with a 58cm with the riser bars (=?)

What is the difference between the Fuji Feather and the Track Classic ? Same same or just the Feather being more retro (love it).?

And anyone know of the new Bombtrack Oxbridge bike (yes very different attitude, I know.. )

Considering riser bars will shorten your reach compared to drops or bullhorns (unless you use an extremely long stem), I'd say you're going about this ass-backward.

Buy a frame that fits.

Weeeellllll.... Fair point :-). But. What gave me the backache was mainly the huge drop from seat down to the lowest point on the drop bars.. Couldn't really look straight ahead in that position without a bad pain in the neck and a weird angle
Still, it's 58, so a WHOLE centimeter bigger
Will consider the 61, but not that keen on the skyscraper-like height that makes the head tube.

Fit > looks.

The main difference between the track classic and the feather seems to be the quill stem to me. I prefer the look of the feather but if you are going to be fiddling with fit you should get the track classic.

I'm assuming #KiloTT is a no-go in Norway.

Being 192 cm does not necessarily mean you should be on a 61cm bike. I'm the same height & I don't ride bikes that big. Use a fit calculator if you really want to know your size. Figure out your inseam and your reach, and compare that with the standover height and top tube length. Be mindful that bike sizing is different depending on how the measurements are taken. So a 58cm Fuji may or may not be one centimeter bigger than a 57cm Bianchi. Look at the specs.

Fuji track classic: 58 effective top tube length = 575, 61 effective top tube length = 595
Fuji feather: 58 effective top tube length = 570, 61 effective top tube length = 590

I ride a 63 because of how tall I am. It looks funny but its super comfortable because it fits me

:Me I'm definately checking the geometry diagrams for the Pista and the Feather-. Not very keen on the colours of the Track classic, but seems a more comfortable ride With the ever so slightly longer top tube. But the Feather wins it on looks :-)

My inseam is 90cm+, so think a 61cm is in order. Most 61cm steel bikes do look a bit weird though, I'm a freak of nature, they always use 54-55cm frames on all the glossy shots, they all look better With a shortass head tube.

F*#k it I'm buying a 23" Fuji Beach cruiser With H U G E cruiser bars and just rolling easy giving up.

Seriously, figure out what size you need

Figure what size top-tube you need, you can adjust the height of your saddle.

(and be careful to use the right unit of measurement.

Um, the elephant in the room is surely geometry. Unless I'm missing something (probable), the Track Classic has track geometry and the Feather has more relaxed, road geometry. Isn't that the first choice? THEN work out what size you want and buy the one that fits. Throwing sizes at us means nothing because what's 58 in one may not be the same size as 58 in the other.

Oh, and OP, buying a bike that doesn't fit because it 'looks better' than one that does, is just stupid ... assuming you're planning to ride the thing. That's not me picking on you or trying to be cool or stupid, it's a statement of fact. BUY A BIKE THAT FITS.

Even though the feather has a slightly slacker head tube angle it is still pretty darn aggressive and I wouldn't think there would be much of an actual difference with regard to street riding. In fact the track classic has a slightly longer wheelbase. Neither of these bikes is designed for touring. My only actual experience was with a feather and it definitely seemed trackish to me.

Looks like it'll be a Feather in 61, as Mercier is making it damn difficult for me!

Dude, Mercier is just a sub-brand of Bikes Direct. The Kilo TT is a BikesDirect bike, therefore they are the only ones selling them (and they are pretty well-known as a "reputable dealer" here in the US). Get the **** over it.

BD is clearly comfortable with their business model. At some point they decided it just wasn't worth it for them to ship internationally. You could always get a KHS flite.
