I skipped it this year, but the guy who built my custom ti frame usually has a both with eye candy. The last time I went he was displaying a custom ti commuter with a 1x drivetrain he built for a customer. Must be nice to be able to afford a custom Engin ti to use solely as a commuter.

A couple of observations. 1. Those new Soma bars look like a rip off of the Canyon Grail bars. 2. I can't decide if shorts with an pump-up sit bone pad are goofy or genius.

I attended for the first time this year. I thought it was well run and although I could only stay for Saturday I had a ball. Because I could only stay for one day I didn't have time for any of the seminars...next time I will make an effort to do that. Wonder if any of this years seminars were recorded???

Actually, I wasn’t complaining of the expense of the items, I was making fun of myself for wanting at least half of the stuff in the video.

That was a very well done video. Looks like a fun show.
I really like the Hiplock. Just a little thing to carry when I'm riding around town and don't feel like carrying my regular locks. Two of those would be a good deterrent, I would think. They're only $24.99, which strikes me as pretty reasonable.

The Normal Bike lady is your typical salesperson. "So, that's my favorite part about it. The wood actually dampens a lot of the shock and vibration from the road. So, you can actually ride all day and not feel it in your joints as much as you would in a regular bike." I'm guessing that depends on what a "regular" bike is. I could believe wood transmits less shock than aluminum, as with baseball bats. But as I've said previously...if wood, or steel or titanium is so great, why do they make the fork out of carbon fiber?
