CatEye Padrone Smart compatibility with Bontrager DuoTrap S

Greetings..

Does anyone have any experience with the Bontrager DuoTrap S speed/cadence sensor and if it is compatible with the CatEye Padrone Smart? Both support Bluetooth, but I wasn't sure if that by itself, would mean it will work.

My bike supports the DuoTrap S in the frame, so it seems like this would be the best sensor to purchase. Any opinions?

Thanks!

Got this this morning from Cateye regarding the Padrone digital bluetooth: (both bluetooth smart)

The Padrone Digital is not currently compatible with the Duotrap series sensors. We area aware of the problem and the firmware will be updated in future production runs to allow compatibility. We do not unfortunately have a firm timeline on this but we anticipate the updated firmware version to be out next spring.

Best regards,

CatEye America

3 years is a long time to wait for a firmware update. Get a Wahoo instead. Or get a different sensor.

Further on this, for the smart and smart+: this is off of cateye website
Looks like it should work on the padrone smart series. I will probably give it a try.
