May 2023 100+ Miles/km Thread

I guess I'll step up and fill in for Matt this month. Hoping his eyes are on the mend.

What are your goals for the Month of May? Ride, share, repeat.

Best wishes for Matt, I'm going to go for 150 again this month, hopefully I can outdo what little I rode last month. Wanted to get a jump on it this morning, got all suited up, walked outside and promptly got rained on. OK, maybe tomorrow.

MTD: 0.0 mi.
Monthly goal: 150 mi.

5/1 15mi - trainer

MTD: 15mi
May Goal: 400mi

Will try kicking the mileage up by 100mi this month. Hopefully the weather improves, as I'm really getting sick of riding on the trainer.

May Goal: 150 for National Bike Month. Training for a metric century the first weekend of June. Hopefully I can use this thread to keep myself accountable

5/2: 6 miles, windy as f**k, gusts up to 40mph and I thought I was going to get rained on (I didn't fortunately). Oh well better than nothing!

Matt, sending you get well wishes. What an ordeal you have been through these last few months. Don't get discouraged, you'll get past this.

I'm going for 250 miles in May. I might get to 300, but I know I have some travel and other commitments that will take away cycling time.

Goal: 250 miles
5/3: 17.3

YTD: 799.1

Thanks for the well wishes, guys! I got cleared for real riding by my surgeon this morning. Not a moment too soon as I'm not a huge fan of riding on the smart trainer! If I can manage 300 miles this month I'll be happy.

Still been riding with cold weather gear. Pants, cap, gloves, windproof jacket. It's usually in the high 40's when I have gone out. But finally this weekend we're supposed to be in the 70s, so hoping I can strip some of that off. So far this year I think I've only ridden once in shorts and cycling shirt.
