Monthly Goal: 600 miles

What a day for a ride! Just perfect weather. But......both my tubeless tires are oozing and not holding pressure. So I had to cut the ride way short to put more goop in. Upon further inspection, both tires have multiple cracks and bubbles on the contact surface! My best guess is I got about 2,000 miles on the Vitoria Corsa 32mm tubeless. So that’s about $110 every 2K miles.....but no flats!! Ride quality and lack of flats made it worthwhile.

After riding to work and riding home yesterday, I was surprised to develop leg cramps several times last night while trying to sleep. Then it occurred to me that my new job has me walking a lot around a big new factory we're setting up, so I looked at my steps on my phone's fitness app and discovered that in addition to riding 26 miles, yesterday I also walked 7.1 miles. Today was only 5.7 and I didn’t ride. No wonder I’m sore.

I didn't post a goal for December, and I won't be getting close to 100 miles for December, most likely.
But I wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday season, Merry Christmas and definitely a BETTER YEAR ahead in 2021! And thank everyone for the camaraderie and encouragement that is provided here.
I had my best mileage year ever at 2454 miles so far, hopefully I will make 2500 miles for the first time. I know that is a modest accomplishment compared to many of you, especially those in the Thousand Mile a Month club, but at age 62 I am hoping to continue to increase my miles, since I'm retiring in February and I'll have more time to pursue recreational and fitness goals.
All the best! and my thanks to everyone here. Early wishes for Happy New Year 2021!
