The question comes down to whether the impact damage is significant because of a prior-existing frame defect, or possibly a design defect.

One of the complications is that it is a Trek Supercaliber, which is designed to be an extremely lightweight XC bike, and therefore is going to be more fragile than most mountain bike frames.

I kinda doubt Ferrari would cover a fender if you hit a "stick" while driving offroad either.

Hi all, I've just wanted to thank you again for your valuable comments and let you know that at the end my Supercaliber's frame had not been structurally damaged so only some smaller repair of carbon surface of 100 EUR solved this. I have not painted it only protect with plastic guard. Finally, I am still very happy with this amazing bike but I would recommend to everyone who has it to protect the down part by some armor to prevent incidents like the mine... :-)

actually carbon fiber frames are very delicate , not durable ... 35 bikes later at 67 and never had any frame failures other than on carbon frames and working in 3 different shops I have seen dozens of damaged carbon frames ... mediocre impacts cracking the .030 thick carbon tubes ... aluminum nah just a dent , steel some time not even a dent ... you picked a delicate bike and impacted it ...
