Curious what you're doing for other hobbies outside of cycling. What do you do and does your cycling help your hobbies in anyway?
I trap shoot so cycling has nothing to offer there but I also play hockey a few times a week and there is a definite benefit from cycling.

I sew so cycling benefits as I make the majority of my gear and I don't have to ride with advertising or team kit.

As for hobbies, I garden, play music, play soccer, volunteer around my neighbourhood. Also, wrenching old bikes which is related to cycling but not exactly the same thing.

Played a lot of tennis off and on, some dinghy sailing, a little hiking. Cycling helps any pastime that requires movement.
I used to play a lot of guitar and bass, now I play the ukulele (Jake not Tiny Tim).
A lot of my hobbies come and go and come back again. Riding and the ukulele have been pretty constant over the past 7-8 years.

I like to wrench on cars (I have 3 myself). Currently working on my 2012 Camaro to bring it up to show quality. It will have more CF than my bike, I hope it doesn't asplode.

I'm not a swimmer, but I can swim and I'm not a runner, but I can walk. Add those attributes to my love of bicycling and it equals triathlons. After squaring things up with my prostate cancer I will go for my 3rd Ironman. Along with the boss lady I do 5Ks, 10Ks, 10 milers, half marathons and by myself marathon events.

Waka is is an outrigger kayak. A great competitive team sport. Races are hard, normally around 20kms which take 2 hours, give or take, depending on tide, wind, waves& how well the crew are functioning.
Also play the tenor, known as an alto in the U.S., in two brass bands.

And I have a good income, no wife and no kids, so no conscience to deter severe N+ 1 syndrome.

Cycling isn't a hobby for me, I virtually never ride just for exercise or fun, I'm trying to by without using my cars at all…

My (our) hobby/amateur pursuit during leisure time though is social ballroom dancing. After about eight years of lessons in the 1980’s my wife and I go out dancing once a week. A perfect Saturday is an early morning long bike ride, and dining out and dancing that evening.

I sing with the a capella gospel group I started and direct - we sing in nursing homes and the like. Swimming, walking, intense resistance exercises, moderating a couple of disability related listservs, advocating for services with legislators, and, lately, going to MD appts!!!

Interocitor Command
Cycling for fitness and recreation, but not in the rain (safety) or cold (asthma).
Do most of my own bike wrenching. Building up a Secteur frame now. It'll be the most modern bike I own.
Play mostly first wave instrumental Surf rock (Ventures, Astronauts, Chantays) very poorly on a Stratocaster, Jazzmaster or Jaguar with lots of reverb.
Modify guitars and assemble partscasters.
Have lots of cats. Yes, I'm the crazy cat person. Used to volunteer at a shelter, but don't anymore as it's too heartbreaking.
Listen to a lot of music. Also into hi-fi equipment.
I target shoot at a nearby range. No hunting though. None at all. Just shoot office supplies and paper targets.
Assemble my own computers. Used to be in the IT biz, but can no longer handle the stress.
Go to therapy sessions for PTSD as my parents were real chitheads.
Do my best at yard work and upkeep on my house.
I used to run and lift weights regularly in my yoot, but due to a bad lower back I can't do either. I even have a hard time walking or going to the grocery store and pretty much have to use a shopping cart as a walker. I may try to lift some weights (no heavy stuff) over the winter months again, but if my back starts to hurt I'll quit. Just not worth it. Oddly enough, due to the nature of my injury, I can ride a bike provided I'm not too bent over. I really miss running.
I also used to read a lot, but it seems I have a lot of problems with concentration anymore. Watching a movie is about as involved as I care to get.
Now get off my lawn!

I used to play in a men's league for hockey when I was flight instructing, then I blew out my meniscus, ACL, and MCL, and left that all together when I got my current job flying a private jet and rich people around. That's when cycling came into play. Now it's: boating, fishing, grilling, working out, hanging out with family and friends, and swimming.
Cycling is my main exercise so I take it pretty serious. Next year I'd like to go from the Tuesday group rides to Thursday, which is the advanced ride group averaging around 25mph and around 35-45 miles, then enter a race at some point.
