Is your ride experience similar to the Road Test findings?
In particular, is the ride comfortable over long distances and is handling a bit "high strung" or twitchy?

I've always felt the seat tube on Merckx bikes to be quite slack, but I've never noticed the headtube as being steep (I've got an Italian bike with a steeper headtube and that is a bit twitchier) but I don't find the Merckx handling twitchy at all, stable and predictable I'd say, and I've got a 12cm stem and can ride no handed
