Rollers Screech at High Speed

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rollers Screech at High Speed

I started using Sufferfest and I guess I never went that fast before. At lower speeds everything is fine, but when I get the speed up, ther rollers start to screech and the faster I go, the louder and higher pitch they scream. I removed the rollers and pried the dust caps off the bearings. They look really good, plenty of grease, but I added grease anyway. They still squeal. Is it the belt? Am I missing something?

Thanks.

They're McLain rollers about 30 yrs old, they have hard plastic drums. Eddy really goes fast, but my rollers screech louder than his!

You need to go ludicrous speed. Sound can't catch up to you at ludicrous speed.

Ride faster and maybe you can outrun the rollers.
