Beautiful bike.
As for the awards ... perhaps they were all ogling your cool shirt, there. (Got a number of similar ones, myself, these days.)

Hi all
My hometown is not far from where these bikes were made . I was amazed to see these bikes are still so popular in 2020
For those of you interested, a city newspaper did a write up about the history of Royal Nord:
(you will have to put in front of it since the forum does not allow me to post URL's)
stadsmus DOT mtools DOT eu SLASH images SLASH dbimages SLAH docs SLASH pub_keik038 DOT pdf
It's written in Dutch but a little it of Google Translate will take you a long way, if anything is unclear, let me know and I'll help translate it .
I have one of those bikes at my father's house. My garden shed/garage isn't finished yet. Don't know what type it is, but suffice to say this bike has seen a lot of road. My great grandfather drove it, then my grandfather, then his son in law (my father) and I drove it a couple of years to go to school. When the corona lockdown is over I'll try to make some pictures or ask my father to send some over.
Unfortunately the rear wheel has been replaced and my father (who likes to tinker with bikes but none as beautifully restored as the ones I saw here, wow I like the green marbled one and the red one) can't remember he did it himself or my brother or myself took it to a bicycle shop.

Congrats on the job, the bike looks beautiful!
I was wondering, is the fixed cup on the bottom bracket right threaded?
I am currently overhauling a Royal Nord myself. However, I seem to have trouble getting the fixed cup off. I am assuming it is french threaded so the fixed cup is right hand threaded, however it doesn't budge, and considering I am not a 100% certain how it is threaded I am hesitant to apply full force in either direction.
Thanks in advance, I am desperate to get this one up and running again!

hello miquel and welcome to the forum!
"most" belgian cycles are BSC; there are a few which are metric
it is a simple enough matter to check your steerer; if it is 25.4mm in diameter your shell will be BSC
please begin a thread on your bicycle when you are ready
many here would enjoy to see it

The Royal Nord with his British 3 speed friends. The Robin Hood Sports "racer", and the Raleigh DL1 Roadster.
