Saddle Bag for 70s - 80s Bikes
Hi everyone!
I am looking for an under the seat saddle bag for a few bikes. I only need to fit a tube, patches, and levers.
I am trying to find something with a retro look. The bikes are Peugeots ('75 U-08, '86 P6) and a '80s Raleigh Technium.
After doing a bit of looking I can only find modern ones, or the leather/canvas type which would look too vintage.

The leather or leather/canvas small barrel bags that hook onto saddle loops were being used throughout the 70's. I had one on my 78 Motobecane Super Mirage BITD. So for the 75 UO8 at least, that would be the period correct choice.
Vaguely modernish cordura nylon saddle backs started appearing in the early 80s. Jannd is still in business and still making the same packs that they sold back then. So if you want an 80s repop, that's the best way to go.

Bright red Kirtland bags would be period correct. But not to everyone's taste.
Ditto blue nylon bags. Very common 1970s-'80s color.
Jandd bags are still made in that style.

I have a Jandd saddle bag for my repair kit too. I don't think the design has changed much in 30+ years. They had a sale for "seconds" and I picked one up for about $14USD. I'm very happy with it.

Jandd products are excellent. If you really, really want something retro check out Carradice bags. They're expensive. Banjo brothers also has retro looking bags you might like.

Definitely Kirtland bag in blue - I still use mine on my '73 Turin Bike Co-op/MKM.

This is not really for the OP but if you have an "English Racer" style of bike with upright bars and a sprung saddle, there's nothing more classic than this bag behind the seat.

I appreciate all of the saddle bag suggestions. Didn't think I would get all of these responses. I agree the vintage style (roll-up) would be better for the U08.
Some of the mentioned bags I could not find for sale. I think for the price, function, and availability, Jandd stands out. Their bags look to be perfect for what I want, retro looking and inexpensive (but still well made to hold a patch kit/tool).

This is a Jandd bag that fits beneath the saddle without any protrusion and is stylistically appropriate for the OP's Peugeot. They are small enough so you don't try to carry too much weight but big enough to carry all the essentials.
