New study on breath holding among bike computer owners
A study awaiting publication in the Journal of the Armenian Medical Association evaluated breath holding
over new feature implementation and repair of bugs in major bike computer owners.
Garmin owners held their breath more frequently , but Hammerhead owners longer, though the results were confounded by brain damage
and an increase in reported anoxic deaths in both groups.
Owners of Bryton and Wahoo units were found to have less frequent breath holding , but had fewer features to provoke the episodes.
Many subjects further reported not being able to remember why they were holding their breath.
Number of features was strongly correlated with decline in cognitive function , as reported in the survey and through observational reports
with many owners not being able to recall why they bought the unit in the first place.

Guilty of owning the cheap Wahoo and using it on one bike.
I learnedt the universal Law of Conservation of Intelligence 35 years ago writng Fortran programs. (An operator and his machine are a closed system with a finite intelligence. Intelligence added to the machine comes at the expense of the operator.) Spent the evening programming. Packed it up to go home and walked right into the plate glass door.)

I've had my Edge 830 a few months now and I'm always surprised how fast it starts. I usually hit the power button before punching the code into the garage door keypad to close it and the computer is ready to go with a gps signal before the door hits the ground. With my old 800 I'd always start it before even opening the garage door and getting the bike down.
Once it gets cold enough for heavy gloves I'll switch back to the 800 for the winter since its screen is pressure touch, not capacitive touch.
