'98 SJ FSR

Swapped my HT XTC frame, via Ebay, for this. Lookin' for better climbing traction on the rocky, rooty terrain here on the Cumberland plateau.

LOVE the FSR above, BTW.

All forks look best black or white. Although I think the ultimate bling would be a fork that same gold color as modern sportbikes have. Like the Monster:

My bad, that's actually a gixxer fork, Monsters don't come with the bling. Nonetheless, I think it would look good on a matte black or ruby red mountain bike.

Here is my 2010 Fuji Tahoe Pro 29er. Gotta say I never thought to would go the 29er route, but one ride and on clearance, I had to have it! Still need to get the dang reflectors off the wheels...

I've had this bike for about a year and a half now. I really enjoy it but have had several pretty bad crashes and didn't push it much this past year.

You know, the second I saw that you quoted me I remembered that it was when I was googling your build list for that bike that I saw a gold mountain bike fork for the first time, & that's why I knew it would look good. I guess we're all genius in hindsight.

I can't wait until I can take it to the DJ's and the pumptrack, but for now street sessions and skateparks will have to do. I'm still blown away that this one is much more responsive than the sidekick was.

If you didn't get the fork gold plated, it would have been a lot lighter!

Careful there . . .

Yeah, it's a porker; but I'm still trying to figure out how on earth to shed enough to add up to 5 lbs. Be easier and cheaper to lose 5 from the engine .

Haha...but seriously, if it doesn't feel heavy, don't even worry about it. You've got good parts on there and I don't recall you saying that it rode heavy. The worst that will happen is you get hassled by jerks like me.

Can't, the post is all of 5" long(the price you gotta pay to run a pivotal setup.) I really don't sit and pedal on it anyways, when I'm moving on it and not pedalling, jumping or going off of something or manualing, I'm carving turns and pumping the bike to keep momentum up. I actually tried it with a normal post and had it so there was decent leg extension, and it just felt way too awkward. Believe it or not right there is how it felt the most natural to me.

I must have done something right because the pinkbike population hates it, not trendy enough it seems.
