Studs in used tires?

Will installing studs in used tires risk cutting case threads and weakening it?

At the moment no, but was considering it. I guess that would make a difference regardless of the inner tire stud profile?

are you planning to use studdeable tires or just looking to screw them in? I've seen the latter with mostly minimal success.
Main benefits of tubeless is to run single digit tire pressures while not having to worry about pinch flats.

I didn't realize they screwed in, I thought they pressed in with some type of press (thus potentially cutting tire casing threads). I need to learn more about tubeless and studs in general.
Thanks,
Tom

Thanks,

Are you adding studs to a tire that's ready to accept them? This is a video about installing studs in a 45NRTH tire designed to for studs.

Otherwise, if you're looking to DYI studded tires, I'm not much help.

I bought the tyres with studs already in, were not too expensive and lasted me a couple of winters.
