I think that is what most people would go with, and that is one of the reasons I didn't. The other is that I already had this setup on another bike, and to cut costs, just rolled with what I had. Might be swapping the saddle to a Specialized Phenom....black, with a red underside which I am not mad about.

I was thinking about trying a c17. I never liked how the brooks saddles look but this one looks more like a road saddle that I'm looking for. Maybe I'll see if I can find a cheap one to try out, see how it compares to my arione.

The most challenging decision that I contemplated throughout the build was cantis vs. v brakes. I'm certain I made the right choice. Thanks man. I don't have a Pedalroom acct. What's the benefit of having one?

How do you remove the background from your photos, they look "catalog quality".

Thanks; I use white photo background paper. It's fairly heavy stock and comes in rolls of various widths. The resulting image usually has a slightly blue cast that has some variation in saturation, so I use Photoshop "bucket fill" to even out the saturation of the background. On some shots, I bucket fill with white instead of light blue.

It's just a photo hosting site that is specific for bikes where you can also detail build specs if you want to. It's handy and well organized. When I want to share new bike pics with distant friends, I just forward the link and they can browse without having to download.

i also use it as a repository for info like rake angles, clamp diameters, serial numbers and whatnot (certain stuff can be hidden) so its not necessarily just a "hey look at what i did" site

theres also a forum full jackwagons you can troll or laugh at if youre into that kinda thing

Thanks. The setup just involves draping the photo background paper over my back yard retaining wall, then leaning the bike against it and shooting the photos in cloudy bright daylight (bright enough for good pictures, but diffused by clouds to eliminate - or at least minimize - shadows).

Been using a Sram Rival 22 brake, dang is that caliper smooth.
