Help with Indoor Trainer Setup

All,

I am trying to set up an old mountain bike with an indoor trainer; however, there is not enough room around the skewer to position the trainer. Any ideas on how to adapt this to make it work? Is there anything that allows for an extension out further from the frame?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

There is a particular skewer that is best suited for trainer use; alot of trainers come with one. You may be able to just add a stack of washers to push it out as long as you still have enough threads to tighten it up. I'm sure you can find the skewer by searching for it.
