Bianchi 928 frame issue

I recently took possession of this frame.

It needed a new hanger.

Fitting new hanger, I noticed that the frame has separated just above. Pics included.

I looked at other side, seems to be a rivet or sleeved bolt of some kind.

Any advice guys?

Can it be fixed? What do I buy?

Cheers

Not a Bianchi expert, but is sure looks like a countersink and a threaded hole for a flathead screw, which is what the other side appears to have. Figure out the thread size and get a screw to fit, you can always cut down the length.

This takes a countersunk screw. Metric size. Your local bike shop has one in their scrounge box.

Make sure you screw it into the other side first just to make sure all the frame threads are still good it holds tight. You want to make sure there are no issues that might have caused the bolt to go missing in the first place.

Might need to be something that has a high tensile and shear strength. Maybe class 10.9? Or better.

On other things, I've had class 8.8 snap too easy in those smaller size bolts like that that.
