If this bike were closer I'd go take a look and snap a few detailed pictures. Too small for me and can't use it anyways yet still a fine piece of steel by the looks of things. He wants C$250.

Only possible negative thing on it might be the pump umbrella clip on the top tube where it looks like there could be some deep paint damage under it, if we are not seeing some sort of tape under the clamp in the pic.....
Otherwise the Columbus SL(?) frame looks to be in excellent condition.....
250 Canadien for that bike would be a bargain, IMO.....

Hopefully an oily flipper didn't bag it. This town is teeming with those types of guys these days.

Unfortunately at some point she had it all 'upgraded' to shimano 600. Pretty much everything but the headset and the shifters (thank god!).
She is looking for thw original pedals for me and if she finds them ill go pick them up, ,but I doubt she also has the old campy bits laying around.

Agreed, it was still a very good deal.
It's possible that is the way was it was built, as these were being distributed as a frameset in Canada. Shimano New 600EX is only a year or two newer than the frameset and was a favourite among the target market for the frame, which was called the Guerciotti Triathlon. It was pretty common to get pantographed parts on the higher end models but not mid-range models like this, so I suspect the shift levers are a later addition. It was also pretty common for dealers to install headsets to promote sale of the frameset.

That Kirk frame has been up for a few years if I recall.
This fellow is another local flipper. He just bought the Norco yesterday (~$50). Note the Sekine mountain bike, only the second I've seen so far.

Hi Rob, yes I think what that seller needs is to travel 2000kms Eastward and re-try. What in your estimation would a Kuwahara Caravan cost in this local marketplace?
