congrats! it sucks.
nasty color scheme. no contrast, everything bleeds into everything else.
stupid drop-down something bar at top, another forever bar at the bottom, taking up too much screen.
1/3 of the page at the right is blank. resizing just makes the font smaller.
obviously designed by a non-user.
only good point.....this will certainly give me more opportunity to leave my keyboard and go cycling.
hooray!

Zombie thread
In the top level thread list, the date of the initial post in each thread is no longer visible. Makes it hard to know if you're looking at a zombie thread.

There have been some improvements since last night, so that's nice. But there does need to be more contrast- my eyes are already hurting after 15 minutes. And User info (quotes, mentions) under the User name in the left column, would be nice to have back.

One more on poor contras on desktop. In fact, I have hard time seeing what I am typing right now. On a phone things looked OK.

I greatly prefer(red) the 'full site' interface on my phone over the mobile version, but the text size in the new version is making it pretty much unbearable.
Now here are some screenshots from other forums I read. Notice how the text is a much more manageable, readable size.

A few things... Mentions and quotes are now broken. The header and footer take up a substantial amount of screen real estate on my MacBook. I realise I'm running a computer from 2012 (but its fast enough for anyone's reasonable needs). This is kind of overcooked. I don't mean to be rude, but can we have an older theme without frames. I don't really want to have to shrink the font size to the point where I have to strain my eyes just to see a post. I always tend to think forum themes should be optional not mandatory if you want to keep your end users happy. Having the forum in a frame means that I lose a generous amoun of screen real estate on a 1280x10204 screen I can't get back some other way.
It's cool that there is now quick navigation everywhere and that you don't have to scroll down to reply to a thread. These are really nice things to have. However, it makes the space available for low resolution and low vision users restrictive. I can shrink the font down by myself by changing the zoom but it gets to a point where its self defeating and I have to squint to actually see more than one post in a thread at a time, or do acres and acres of scrolling.

When I come on the site I see that I have Notifications. I click on Post Quotes and I end up on some page with a random message (PM) from another member that's a year old. I go back and the Notifications has disappeared.

Something changed overnight with the font, font size, and/or contrast, it is much harder to read on my iPad running Chrome iOS. THis is what it looks like:

Agreed. I like some of the new features, but the color scheme takes me back to the default for Windows back in the mid 90's. Any chance we can set our own desktop colors?

#1 - nice update, but the fonts are definitely difficult to read in teal. Haven't browsed around this afternoon yet.
#2 - the ads are now gone for me as well,...thanks!
#3 - when I'm quoted, and I attempt to go to my "New Post Quotes", I'm taken to my Profile Page" instead, with no way to see my listed quotes. I thought it was just a temporary glitch last night,...it's STILL happening.
#4 - I do agree about mobile being better. Even the full website on my tablet looks great. Except when the fonts are teal - LOL!!!

Neutral:
I don't mind the new look. I get used to stuff like that.
Problems:
I gave a URL of an image, and it said bad URL. It's a good URL.
I tried to upload an image, and it said couldn't load the image but did not say why.
I can't find my list of quotes.
Mentions (tags) don't work. Where I have mentioned someone using an @-sign, that word is not displayed.
The infinite scroll feature is a very bad idea. Fine, I turned it off for myself, but it should be off for everyone by default. Let people enable it if they want it.

You won't end up with Windows 10 though, you will have a computer that is working better.

I wonder if IB/vB realizes we are all old and going blind.
What some call hard to read is the so-called modern really thin font. Going to 125 or 150% isn't really helpful, you would have to bold it all.
As for mobile, I'll never get a phone much less try to surf forums with it. Phones cost money and I can't build/fix bikes or eat etc and keep one paid for, just started a new phone bundle to replace the 5 year one because my MOM used to be long distance at 40 miles away, unless I went across the border 2 miles away to call from the bar...everything I needed is like $80 including this internet service.
So, NO, others let me borrow their p

Hit reply, starts a new post instead of posting your comment, HUH???
Where the crap are some formatting tools so I can make this font readable without going to 300% or something? Or BOLDING IT?
We're all old and going blind.
NOW I get to post this, the comment I thought I lost came back when I hit Quick Reply.
Did you hire our kids to do this?

You have until Tuesday to figure this out and meanwhile I'll go read the other site I use.
I See...that navigation thing at the bottom HIDES all the important junk I needed to find and I have to SCROLL.
Bad design. If you had just worked with 4.2.x when you redesigned the corporate version it would be easier. We got so much out of vB4 in the end and Tom helped us a lot.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you can select the style of display for the forums. I don't recommend it,...but it IS THERE!

@ mentions doen't seem to be working.
The at-mention is saved in the text, but not displaying proper.
For example, I will at-mention myself here: @carleton is the greatest!!
If you quote or edit my text, the "mention" tag will be there, but the text doesn't render properly.
Firefox 59.0.1 on mac OS X 10.13.4.
EDIT: I viewed this post via Safari 11.1, and the behavior is the same. All I see is: " is the greatest!!"

As Carlton mentioned the mentions are now broken on both mobile and desktop (used to be broken only on mobile).
Also, please, please bring back the feature that clicking on a thread you've already read will automatically take you to the first unread. It currently takes me to the first post, then I have to hit last page, then scroll until it no longer looks familiar.
I also don't love the colors, but maybe I'll get used to them. No excuse these days for not meeting at least the bare minimum of accessibility standards though.

Flickr looks good. Let's see if Google Photos work inserting with tags manually
Hey, that works. Just have to paste the crazy Google Photos URL inside [img][/img] manually.
