Staying in shape the easy way

When you're not riding, are you a sofa bum, a desk jockey, etc.

Lately, docs are saying to 'keep moving.' The idea that a few hours a week on the bicycle will offset the damage caused by long hours of inactivity is being questioned.

This gadget, or one like it, will solve many of the keep moving issues.

I'm pedaling as I type this.

But why stay home on your couch, when you can take your couch on tour on the road?

You could get one of those photo picture frames with a chip and add some visuals to the experience!

This one is really a try it out model at a try it out price. If it looks like something you'd stick with, there's similar@$150 with a magnetic resistence mechanism and computer. The magnetic model allows for smoother pedaling and much greater resistence. I will likely end up with that one as, at least for me, the concept is a winner.

Persistence is as much the point as resistence level. Keep moving.

Gee, since I don't own a car....I guess I just keep biking year round. That's an easy way to stay in shape.

thank Hugh, although to be honest I only recalled the episode whilst reading the recap--it was 21 years ago and I would have seen it only once when it was aired, but I do remember it now.

we thank you

"resistance is futile" is a modern classic Trek reference. as a fan of the original series it was comforting that the newer versions were coming up with rich material. but yeah, this is one that everyone should know.

You guys are part of the 99 out of a 100 that just don't 'get it.' As usual, I'm the odd duck in the crowd. Pop up shelter, time trial go fast bike, uss bent, $17 DIY tent. Fun stuff. The signature says that.

I got rid of my TV in 1983. This has helped me be more active.
