Ooh, I love this, a zombie thread from 2009! But since I posted in the original one- my Raleigh Sojourn, which I didn't even have then, now has over 50,000 miles on it, and my CoMotion tandem, newer still, is around 25,000 miles.

I've replaced a frame, but didn't reset the odometer. So:
'98-'06 Fuji Touring: 40,000 on the odometer, 46,000 on the fork, 34,000 on the frame.
'06 Randonee: only 18,000 or so thus far.

Haha, the thread that won't stay dead! OK, here's my update to mileage:

Mileage since 9/9/00.

Burley Duet 11248
Cannondale 6612
Gran Fondo 21933 -- still dead, unlike this thread :-)
Miscellaneous 2167

new to me since 2009:
Trek 728 ('82) 4666
Trek 610 ('84) 7690
Trek 614 ('82) 6015
Trek 500 ('85, now a fixie) 143
SOMA Grand Randonneur ('14) 6846

Total mileage since 9/9/00 is 106256. More or less :-)

Should have realized that this was a Zombie thread. Lonesomesteve hasn't posted since 2011 PBP or thereabouts.

57,500 miles on my steed. My only steed. The only true road steed I've ever owned. Well, as an adult.

About 37,000 km on my Bike Friday Pocket Rocket since October 2011. That's 90% of the distance as I've put on my Toyota Prius over 8 years.

I got a new fork half a year ago to switch to a disc brake on the front, but other than that it's still the same bike.

I haven't posted much lately, but I'm still here...

I'm sort of polyamorous when it comes to bikes, so I don't own a single bike that I owned in '09. My Bianchi Volpe that inspired this thread had about 15,000 miles on it when I sold it a few years back. I put another 15,000 miles on an '82 Trek 311 before it was stolen last year. There have been several other bikes that have come and gone since I started this thread, but none got more than a few thousand miles.

The two bikes I ride mostly these days are relative noobies. My Rawland Stag has a little over 7,000 miles and my 650b converted Trek 614b is just shy of 2,000 (since I got it).

2013 Raleigh Detour 4.5 had a little over 8000 miles on it when I tuned it up and handed it down to my younger brother.
Just bought a 2016 Trek 1.1 and have a few hundred miles on it already. Hoping to reach 4000 by September (guess I better get riding)

Specialized Allez Comp way over 60,000 miles, probably close to 70,000.

Specialized Sectur, just bought it last June and it has over 10,000 miles on it. Put 8400 on it last summer during a bike trip. Looking to put another 10-15,000 miles on it during the bike trip this summer.

Since the start of 2012 I have ridden well over 80,000 miles and most of it has been on the Allez Comp. Last year I added some angle iron to the frame and turned the bike into a fixed gear bike.

The highest mileage bike I have in the stable is My 2009 Orbea Tour De France at over 29500 miles. It's a Carbon Frame and fork. Most of the components have been replaced. The bike started out with an Ultegra 10 speed drivetrain, and currently it is a mix of 600 and Tiagara. I've gone through 4 sets of wheels, and currently it has a set of Inexpensive Veulta Corsa HD wheels from Nashbar, while heavy, they are bulletproof. The engine is over 240 pounds. It's the bike that took me back from 10 years recumbents. My most ridden recumbent bike (I own several) is a 2003 Bacchetta Giro 20 at 13000 miles. It is currently nearly stock.

Just rolled over 15,000 miles on my 3G SS steel cruiser "the Beast". Love this bike and the sights we've seen! Got it used and FREE so who know how many miles before that but cruisers are not generally ridden far.

40 yrs of working at a job with rotating 24/7 hours (the job not my hours) limited my riding to sporadic in the 70s, then little or none in '80s and early '90s.
Since '97 I have run up ~120k miles with the largest # on a semi-defunct Teledyne Titan (cracked chain stay) at 25k or so. I have 24k on a
Lightspeed, 23k on my recumbent Rotator, 18k or so stoking on a tandem and the rest on donated PX10 and a sold Trek 9020, a '96 era CF.
Lifetime mileage uncertain as I rode a lot in the '70s but no speedo back then and I didn't keep a diary but approaches 150k miles.

guessing ~65,000 mi on the 'old' bike (1992 Spec Allez Epic carbon) and ~30,000 on the 'new' (1998 Serotta Ti) bike.

I am sure that many of the mileages cited here are greater than on one of my bikes, but since I bought it used in the late 70s or early 80s, I have no clue how many miles are on it. Frame and fork from 1961 or 62, along with the brakes (but not brake levers), headset, shifters, seatpost, front derailleur, probably other stuff that does not come to mind. Many of the parts are from the 80s (saddle, rear derailleur, wheels, fenders). And last summer when I repainted it for the second time I put a bunch of modern parts (if you call a campy square taper triple modern that is) on it too. The other modern stuff includes a threadless stem, quill adapter for the threadless stem, brake levers, new handlebar.

The bike might not compare to the others listed above for miles, but how many bikes are still being used that are over 50 years old?
