I had a similar click on the left pedal - I just disassembled it, made sure it was reasonably clean and nothing catastrophic was about to happen, and put it back together. Now the click is gone.
This does remind me that I need to adjust the FD high limit screw, the outer cage just kisses the inside of the crank arm when you perform a full shift. One trim click gets rid of it, and I only remember that it does it when I'm out on the road shifting from the little ring to the big one.

Club #2 cancelled their ride tomorrow due to dense smoke from 2 brush fires. I was leaning toward that ride but they probably made the right call.
Club #1 has 8 (!) rides on schedule including 2 remote starts at the coast. Not as smokey at the coast but there will be trillions of people/cars there. At least it will seem that way. I don't know who will be on any of the rides. first world problems...

My friends are planning a semi-epic ride for tomorrow. I am on call and having a hard time getting one of my partners to cover, so I will likely ride with them until I accumulate a critical mass of pages, then stop and put out all the fires and do the rest of the ride solo. I have one more person to ask but today's her birthday so I am guessing she won't want to cover a few hours on her "birthday weekend" but maybe I might get lucky.

Except for a few exceptions I haven't ridden with any of my friends from the main club since the covid hit the fan. This after doing 100 club rides a year consistently for 19 years. I really miss riding with some of them.

So the super cheap Chinese 55 mm carbon wheels have turned on me
a few weeks ago I started noticing pulsing from the front when braking.. I only have...500ish miles on these wheels. I just figured some schmootz got on the brake surface. Couple weeks ago, prepping for the Thursday night follies, I keep hearing , "Tick....crack,....Tick... Now I feel the pulsing in the front brake lever. So I pull the wheel and measure it for width..... everything looks fine?
so I ride it again. Then it dawns on me. I take it home remove it from the bike and measure it with the yire on and pumped up..... Ah, hah!. 4 mm expansion 180 degrees from the valve.
currently negotiating with "the carbon zone" store on eBay.
Glad it didn't fail while I was riding it.

Speaking of pedals and bearings. Those early 70s Campy pedals I bought in the last year, are just fabulous! Soon I will have a pair of Record hubs from the 80s and a headset to go with them. I never would have(and didn't) believe(d) that Campy was really that much better. I also have a Campy pump umbrella or two.

Had a lazy start to the day with brunch at a local cafe. A full Scottish breakfast. It was lovely and sunny and warm. Go home after doing some grocery shopping and decide well it's a nice day for a metric century. After getting ready I go outside and it's now clouded over and cool. 
I put arm warmers on and head off. About 30km into the ride I'm feeling cold so stop and put a windproof vest on (it didn't cost enough to be a gillet). At around 60km I decide my feet have frozen enough and I'm starting to ride through cold low cloud. I'd also had enough of the cold headwind. so head for home. I managed three quarters of metric overall. And spent half and hour in a hot shower thawing out on returning home. The joys of late winter riding.
